The Other War

While migrant workers from Mexico tend to draw the lion’s share of press attention, there’s a war being waged over how many highly skilled foreign nationals should be granted U.S. visas. The latest round pits the IEEE and SIA against legions of domestic high-tech workers, organized by The Programmers Guild.

Here’s the IEEE/SIA letter to Congress in support of a plan to grant H1-B visas to anyone with a bachelor’s and a job offer.
